We are very happy to introduce a new service that we can offer our interns – The Mentorship Program. SACC Philadelphia are aware of the importance of guidance, the right tools and to help our young professionals succeed – professionally as well as personally – which makes us very excited about our new mentorship program. Through pairing up our interns with suitable mentors we hope to provide them with knowledge, skills and a broadened mindset to carry with them going forth in their lives. We have talked to our current interns about their thoughts thus far and are happy to say our mentorship program seems to be a success.
“When I found out that SACC Philadelphia provides a mentorship program for their interns, I was excited but I didn’t know what to expect. At our first meeting, my mentor explained to me how important it is to make a case out of yourself and the importance of “knowing thy self”. I have found the tools Ken has taught me to be very valuable for all steps in the job-searching process; from writing a successful cover letter to how I should answer the ever so frightening but yet so common interview-question ; “Tell me a little bit about yourself”. My mentor has an understanding of me as a person and has helped me with both abstract thoughts and struggles one can go through as a young professional as well as concrete questions like; “How do I answer an interview question I don’t know the answer to?”. Through being introduced to new perspectives, mindsets and given a toolbox of how to navigate in the professional sphere, I find myself better equipped going forth in my career. Recently I heard that 75% of young professionals who had the opportunity to be a mentee found it crucial for their career development and I can see why. Thank you Ken for giving me the perfect mixture of tough love, support and inspiration. ”

“I have been very fortune to be a part of the mentorship program with SACC Philadelphia. It was introduced this year by Stephen Andersson and Anders Näsman to widen the intern’s network as well helping to develop the intern’s work-related skills. My mentor has helped me in a lot of different aspect of my future career using his own life experience. I have developed my interview skills, created a spotless resume and cover letter as well as finding out what my individual strengths and weaknesses are. My mentor has helped me see myself as professional from a new perspective as well as finding solutions and opportunities for my future plan within the finance industry. My mentor has an extensive network, and he has been willing to introduce me to his connections for me to be able to create and discuss opportunities for my career. Not only has my mentor been a great asset for my career, but we also developed a friendship. Our mentor program is a great implementation to the SACC Philadelphia internship program and it provides a valuable asset to our organization.”
